This project combined woodworking and 3D modeling to create a collapsible chessboard and pieces from scratch. The 3D modeling software used for the chess pieces was SketchUp. Laser-cutting was used to engrave the board design. Each physical chess piece and chessboard square is embedded with a small magnet to help them "stick" together.
